Grass Worlds RC is out

First, please apologise for the lack of news. I’m happy to announce that the project has reached another milestone. I’ve just uploaded the Release Candidate version of Grass Worlds, finally now everything is in place and fully functional. However there still can be few bugs and other issues around so please send feedbacks while the Beta is open. It will be closed after 2 weeks of the last patch, so it’s 2 weeks from now if no patch is necessary. If there’s bug that requires a patch and the fix can’t wait until the final release the time will reset to allow more testing. As soon as the Beta closes the Beta pack will be erased from your PC and an SP mappack update will be downloaded with the final version of Grass Worlds. This patch will be also delivered to users didn’t participated in the Beta. Thank you for participating in the Beta test, see you soon in Dirt Worlds.

Because of technical reasons the Multiplayer levels won’t be released right now, they will be available during the Beta test of Dirt Worlds. During this period you can play version 2.0 via the Populous Reincarnated MatchMaker.

Also this is the day when the development of Dirt Worlds has officially started. As usual we’ll publish the heightmaps of the levels early so keep watching the SP Maps page. Since this is a larger block the development may take a little longer.

    Excellent, I got worried for a while that it might never get released. Anyways I’ll be on Yahoo Messenger as always to talk about the project’s progress. I’m currently working on the melted snow terrain style. :)

    • Yes it’s progressing, but I’m very busy right now. However Devilhu is working on a new concept to the slot of the dropped idea (he agreed with us why it’s not good and come up with a better idea)

        • Well, the original concept of this map was wanted to show the current chaotic state of the newly reshaped solarsystem through a planet where the balane of the time and space is messed. The gameplay was simplified and become to an undone and strange teleporting thing and not really fit to the game. (this map was tittled as Teleporting Isles(?) in the database) Now I came up with a new concept which contains some “hard to do ” and “never seen before parts” focusing the current state of the magic (mana) instead of time-space, which should be intetesting part of the story, but not really connects and fits into it.
